PENGEMBANGAN INDUSTRI PARIWISATA DENGAN MENGGALI POTENSI YANG ADA DI DESA SITANGGOR

Abstract

The year 2020 is quite a difficult year for the tourism industry. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on Indonesian tourism. Overall, throughout 2020 the number of foreign tourists entering Indonesia was only about 25% of the number of tourists entering Indonesia in 2019. After the post-COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism industry's hope to increase has begun to shine. For this reason serious attention is needed to redevelop the existing Tourism Industry or explore the potential that exists in new tourism areas that have not been revealed before. One of the tourist villages, Kampung Sitanggor, which is located on the edge of Lake Toba, Muara District, has great potential to be developed into a tourist destination. However, one of the obstacles faced so far is the limited knowledge and understanding of the community in exploring the potential that exists to advance the tourism industry. Some things that need attention for the development of tourism villages need improvement starting from road infrastructure, environmental cleanliness, education and promotion. And in order to realize it, active participation from all walks of life is essential in development in order to be more widespread and even, so that in the future the Sitanggor village community can enjoy the results of managing natural and cultural potential through tourism development  industry.
