Abstract

Women have different roles and responsibilities, such as wives, mothers, employees and community members. Women have different roles in the family: as wives and mothers. Her duty as a wife is to take care of her husband, look after and protect her children. Women who work outside the home also have their own duties, namely that they are responsible for their work. The final role is the role of women as members of society. Apart from being housewives and working, women also have a role in their community. The goal is for women to be recognized as members of their society. Women who work or have multiple roles definitely face role conflicts. If a person has a role that conflicts with another role, it is called role conflict. This situation occurs in a woman who has a dual role: mother and worker. Undoubtedly, both roles have similarities. Women have an important role in their families, serving their husbands, educating their children, and being good housewives, but also have responsibility for their work. A woman who already has a family decides to work will definitely face risks, especially because they will not have much time for their family. Women who work as batik craftsmen often face problems involving their families and work. Women have an important role in the family being good housewives to educate their children and look after their husbands but also have responsibility for their work. Therefore, working women face problems dividing their time between family and work. However, there is an additional problem, namely that women want to gain social recognition.
